Sixteenth Week of School

This week has dawned with the unfortunate occurance of a deep-voiced teacher who can no longer sing with the sopranos, altos, or even tenors, for that matter.  She will have to be assigned to the basses.  But that does not mean, however, that you are exempt from posting your word before we scatter in two days for Christmas break.

discern
perceive

that we are a scant several days away from Christmas break?

Thirteenth Week of School

Do remember, dear word-lovers, that forbidden words are also forbidden on our  blog!

Twelfth Week of School

What a brobdingnagian week!  We are officialy through the first trimester of school, which means we only have twenty-four more weeks to go!  And what is more, next week is Thanksgiving--anyone who posts a comment during their most relaxing vacation will receive extra credit, and most importantly, brownie points with Mrs. Gibbs!

Eleventh Week of School

Never stop scribbling scrumptious words.  Instead, always smile and slip your pencil across the smooth papers and slide your soft fingers across the keys of the computers as you search for and stumble upon syllabled lumps of words and slyly slip them into silly sentences.

Tenth Week of School

After  bloating hundreds of bubbles,
you are back to the blog,
to blithely post your most book-wormish  blurbs.
Don't be bashful!
Be brisk!

Eighth Week of School

To Mrs. Gibbs' Students as She Zooms Above the Clouds on Her Way to Vermont. . .

Let your words be bombastic, rambunctious, and boisterous as they follow the trail of the jet that crosses the far reaches of the sky--sky that far exceeds in blueness the sapphire gems you hunted yesterday in the sands of Camp Sagola.

Seventh Week of School

This week's Words of Wilson will whirl you around with wonder. . .

Sixth Week of School

Already we've run through a host of school days,
And a number of weeks, so we cheer,
But let us not tire
Of words, or aspire
To finish school quickly this year!

Fifth Week of School

For this jolly week of school,
I hope that you will
Find a word
That you will always  remember as the
Happy set of syllables you posted on the class blog.  And then,

When you see the word
Ever after, you will think of all your
Exciting days at Wilson Junior Academy, and the inspiration-
Kindling words you met there.

Fourth Week of School

On the fourth week of school, my students gave to me...
Words that make them ponder, words that make them flounder,
Words that make them rupture, words that make them wonder,
And they all put them on the blog, see!

Third Week of School

Last week, Mrs. Gibbs felt great exhilaration when she saw the astounding words that her students pensively considered throughout the week.  She looks forward to the flourishes they will add over the next few days.

Second Week of School

Mrs. Gibbs loves words.  In fact, she loves words so much that she wants her students to love them too.  And she wants them to love good words--wonderful words that make them want to jump, giggle, roll on the floor, and use them in sentences.  She wonders which words her perspicacious students will choose to share with her this week... and she tries to wait with imperturbability, but to no avail.
